Meeting Minutes

July 22, 2006

President, Diane Pennington called the meeting to order at 12:30 p.m.

Roll Call (Present)

Diane Pennington, President, Brenda Schwartzkopf, Vice President, Christine Chesser, Secretary; and Board member Darci Kite were present. Also in attendance was Betty Abernethy, Executive Director.

Board member Kirby Morris was excused.

The motion was made by Brenda Schwartzkopf, seconded by Chris Chesser to approve the minutes as presented for the May 22, 2006 meeting, motion carried.

Executive Directors Report

Betty presented the June financial statement and reported that we have entered the new biennium. Betty also reported that new file cabinets had been ordered for the office.

Unfinished Business

The board is still waiting for independent lab results on foam neck pads and Rudolf files. Annual conference is approaching and all travel arrangements have been made. Annual Conference is set for August 24 - 28, 2006.

A letter was sent to the mobile salon applicant and no response has been received.

Board members Darci and Brenda had attended a meeting in Cheyenne at the board office with members from the medical board, nursing board and an esthetician concerning laser and light treatments. Betty requested that all the board members do research and get all the information they can on lasers and light treatments. A work session may be needed to compile all information.

New Business

The Medical Board meets Oct. 6 and 7th in Casper and Betty would like to have board members attend to discuss laser and light treatments. AG training will be held on August 3rd and 4th in Cheyenne. Board President Diane and board member Darci will attend. Cleaning up of statutes and rules needs to be ready to go by December. Rough drafts need to be ready by October. Betty reminded all Board Members that consumer safety is their responsibility.

With no further business before the board; Chris made a motion, seconded by Brenda to adjourn at 1:30 p.m. Motion carried.
